Specialist Chartered Physiotherapist, Alan Sealy, has recently moved from Oslo to open his new physiotherapy practice in Old Aberdeen.
In Balance Physiotherapy & Sports Injury Clinic, is sited at 111 High Street, and provides accurate assessment, diagnosis and rehabilitation for all sports injuries and musculoskeletal aches and pains. ‘Hands on’ manual therapy and specific exercise training is the key to restoring normal movement and fitness, whether you are an elite athlete or have just overdone the gardening. As a competitive hill runnerand registered Scottish Athletics coach, Alan has a special interest in running injuries and gait analysis.
Incorporated within the practice is the Aberdeen Balance Clinic. This is the only specialist balance clinic in Northern Scotland and provides help for sufferers of dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. In Oslo, Alan was director of Scandinavia’s busiest balance clinic. He has returned to Scotland to help raise awareness about dizziness and balance problems. Chronic dizziness is a very common, highly disabling and largely untreated condition, affecting upto 25% of the working population ! It is the 2nd most common complaint reported to GP’s. Vestibular rehabilitation provides effective tried and tested treatment which is strongly supported by medical research. Treatment for dizziness, vertigo and balance problems is now available in Old Aberdeen.
