Latest Planning applications in the Old Aberdeen area

If you want to find out more about any of these applications, you either need to go to St Nicholas House, 8th floor, and ask to see the full application, or you can go to their web site http://planning.aberdeencity.gov.uk/planningsearch.asp and enter the application number shown below.  For most applications, they now include web accessible details, including plans, which is very helpful.

If you want to raise your concerns about the proposals, you should always make them in writing, quoting the reference number and stating clearly the reasons for your concerns to the Head of Planning and Infrastructure at the following address :

The 3rd Don Crossing application, below, has been delayed a little until the environmental statement is issued, then the process will restart. This is expected to be available by the end of March, so keep an eye on the City Council planning web site,

3rd February 2010

Application reference 100135

The City Council has commenced the process of work on the third Don crossing by applying for planning permission to conduct detailed design for: -

“Construction of a new 2.4km long, generally 7.5m wide single carriageway wide road with associated footways, segregated cycleways, verges & earthworks, also clearance of some existing vegetation, trees and construction of a new bridge over the River Don, new pipe drainage, road signs, street lighting, landscaping and accommodation works.”

Details may be found on their web site at ;

http://planning.aberdeencity.gov.uk/PlanningDetail.asp?ref=100135

Application reference 100315.

They were a bit slow getting their plans onto the web, but they are now available, and it can be seen that the route is identical to that developed for the 2006 proposal.  Any objections must be sent to the council by the 19th February, which we feel is far too short for something as major as this.

Application Ref.: 091789.  Registered 19 Nov 2009.

31A Don Street.   Replacement of windows with UPVC.

You generally have just three weeks to raise objections.
